Returning to Training

Unfortunately Victoria does not look as though it will be able to allow training together for some time yet at our normal Dojangs. Until we are able to reopen our training halls and get back to "normal", please join us at one or more of our FREE online classes.......

UPDATE: There are now over 80 free classes available via the "Videos" section of our Facebook page enabling you to train alongside us online until we get back to our Dojangs.

Beginning@Home Classes

Working or studying from home is a disruption to the daily exercise that we would normal get just walking from class to class or office to office. This lack of exercise has a detrimental impact upon our health, thus the reason we are conducting free online classes through the Training@Home program. To benefit more people we are also conducting a private class via Zoom (see info below) from 5:30pm until 6:30pm on a Monday evening, open to all ages and thus making a great family exercise program.

If you would like to join the Beginners Class please email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

Training@Home Classes

Whilst we are impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic we will have to Train @ Home. You can join us in two ways. Firstly by following along the class instruction on Facebook Live at @rheetkdvic, or secondly by joining the class through Zoom where you will also have the additional opportunity to be part of personal or small group 2-way instruction.

We will post the Zoom Meeting information on our Training@Home page so that Members can join in our Training@Home classes. Remember to log in so the link works.

Zoom is a "Meeting Application" enabling groups to gather together online, thus enabling us to conduct Training@Home sessions in order to continue our Rhee Tae Kwon Do training under instruction and supervision.  The Zoom App is available from and is available for most computing platforms and mobile devices. The first time that you click on a meeting link, you will be asked to download the App so that you can connect to the Meeting both visually and audibly. When joining a "Breakout Room" for personal instruction it is best that you ensure that both your video and audio are turned on, but reset to your preference when rejoining the main class.

As classes are being Live Streamed to Facebook which is public, if you do not want your image or other details to be made public, ensure you join with your camera off. This is not applicable to Breakout Rooms as these are not forwarded to Facebook. For students under 18 years of age, we will require a parent's permission before you can join the Facebook feed, so leave your camera and microphone off until that is provided. You can use the "Chat" button on the Zoom display to communicate with the host, just make sure that you select the host (rather than the default "Everyone") before typing.

As this is new technology to most of us, mistakes will be made. Please err on the side of caution, especially by leaving your microphone off, and accept our apologies should your instructors also make a mistake with the technology. Above all else, join in at home and have fun.

Further Information

We will also be including ideas to assist your Training@Home. To start, here is a link to previous Training@Home sessions on Facebook. Remember to Like and Follow us @rheetkdvic
